Massanetta Springs Bible Conference

Dr. Voelz to serve as preacher and forum leader at Massanetta Springs Bible Conference  This summer, Dr. Richard Voelz will serve as a preacher and forum leader at the Massanetta Springs Bible Conference in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.  The Conference runs July 23-24, 2018.  Dr. Voelz is Assistant Professor of Preaching and Worship at Union Presbyterian Seminary, Richmond. 2019 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Applications

Online applications are available for the 2019 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, administered by the Heritage Fund — The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County and Independent Colleges of Indiana.

Lilly Scholarships provide full-ride scholarships for tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis that leads to a baccalaureate degree at any accredited Indiana public or private college or university.

"Before I retired, the Lilly Foundation gave Asbury Theological Seminary a grant to enable its retiring graduates to spend a year creating a bucket list. My group spent a week at a resort in St. Petersburg creating the first draft and a year later we spent a week at Epworth by the Sea writing the final version. Mine was titled “Time….” It included “time for God,” “time for family,” “time to write,” “time to travel,” and six other “times” with detailed expectations for each “time,” said Charles "Buddy" Whatley.
