Walter Crouch on the Appalachia Service Project

Hear how the Appalachia Service Project brings 16,000 volunteers — mostly high school students — from 32 states annually to convert and upgrade substandard housing in central Appalachia. In the process, the project offers youth groups and other volunteers an experience and a guided curriculum of bible study and reflection intended to transform those who volunteer as much as it improves the living arrangements of those who the volunteers came to serve.
