Reading Scripture in Worship

Reading the word of God is a central act of worship. When the scriptures are read, God is speaking to the congregation. Therefore, it is wise to pay close attention to the role that the reading of scripture has in your worship services. A free Bible study program provided by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship and geared to the worship leader or leadership team, examines how we decide how much scripture to read, how we frame scripture reading, and how we can make the reading of scripture understandable and memorable to our communities.
