Creating a vibrant youth ministry

The context and strategies for communicating the faith have changed dramatically through the centuries. Since the early 20th century, churches have engaged young adults as youth ministers. Being young adults, they often have little training for the work they are asked to do, but their age makes them particularly able to identify and communicate with youth. Correspondent John M. Mulder interviewed Dietrich Kirk, co-founder and exutive director of the Center for Youth Ministry Training, about the purposes of the center, its role in the life of the Church and how it equips youth ministers through its unique masters degree program, offered in affiliation with Princeton Seminary and Vanderbilt Divinity School.
