The Act of Confession

Confession cleanses our hearts and assurance prepares us to receive the good news. Using Psalm 32 & 1 John 1, this study underscores the importance of honestly confessing both personal and corporate sin, and recognizing the promise of divine grace. Study readers are invited to consider the reasons we confess, what constitutes a significant service of confession and renewal, and the role the service could play in their congregation, geared to the worship leader or leadership team and offered by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship.
