Research your Church Online

The Hartford Institute for Religion Research offers an extensive list of Web-based resources to help you find information about a church and its denomination, its surrounding secular and religious neighbors, the local cultural life, the social service networks and community resources in the area. It also includes information on how the congregation fits into the larger field of faith community commitments and practices in the United States. Other links provide guidance on how to study congregations through observation, surveys, statistical data, interviewing, and by analyzing the content of church materials. Begin here to find out more about a particular church or denomination.
