President Donald Trump's New Executive Order Making Federal Subsidies Available to Churches

The National Fund for Sacred Places is administering a $14 million donation from the Indiana-based Lilly Foundation, to preserve places of worship nationwide. One of those places is the Holy Ascension Orthodox Cathedral, which is also benefiting from a new White House initiative.

A White House initiative allowing churches to receive federal funding was warmly welcomed last week by Bishop David Mahaffey and Unalaska Mayoras they discussed a firefighting system for the Holy Ascension Orthodox Cathedral and President Donald Trump's new executive order making federal subsidies available to churches, at an Unalaska meeting discussing funding for preserving the Holy Ascension Orthodox Cathedral on May 3.
