A look at American mosques

"The American Mosque 2011," a study written by Dr. Ihsan Bagby, explores the basic characteristics of the American mosque and attitudes of mosque leaders. The study was sponsored by The Hartford Institute for Religion Research (Hartford Seminary) as part of the larger Faith Communities Today research project; by the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies; and by the nation's largest Islamic civic and religious groups, including the Islamic Society of North America and the Council on American-Islamic Relations. To learn more about the study and how the research was conducted, or for links to additional information, visit the Hartford Institute's "Comprehensive Study of U.S. Mosques" page.
