Join On Being's Conversation About Suicide

The public is invited to join an ongoing conversation about suicide, share their experiences, and help build a better dialogue about the issue in our society. After the death of actor and comic Robin Williams in August of a suspected suicide, the program "On Being" with Krista Tippett explored the topics of depression and suicide by talking with Jennifer Michael Hecht, author of "Stay: A History of Suicide and the Philosophies Against It," and inviting the public to its Twitterscript with Tippett and Hecht. Since the program aired, On Being has received an outpouring of comments from people sharing their stories of grief and resilience. On Being is a Peabody Award-winning public radio conversation and podcast, a Webby Award-winning website and online exploration, a publisher and public event convener. On Being opens up the animating questions at the center of human life: What does it mean to be human, and how do we want to live?
