$500,000 Matching Grant from Lilly Endowment

Jon Creek, Vice President, spoke about historic changes in our community and the challenges we face going forward. He invited anyone who wants to be a part of our initiatives in any way to contact Lisa Weeks, Jon Creek, or Dave Bowman.

Jon spoke about the importance of a $500,000 matching grant from Lilly Endowment in providing significant support for several key community projects and spurring the Foundation to initiate additional matching grant programs of their own.

Some other projects that the Foundation has supported include the College Success Coalition, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Women Of Worth (WOW), Bicentennial Torch Relay, Blackford Initiative, We Engage, High Riders Camp, Arts in the Park, Hartford City High School Memorial Park, Second Harvest Food Bank, Community and Family Food Bank, Blackford County Schools Pre-K Program at Montpelier, 529 Promise, Wilderness Park, Montpelier Civic Center Workout Expansion, Montpelier Library Early Literacy Area, and the Animal Shelter.
