How Branding Benefits Church Vision and Mission

When three central Indiana congregations decided to take a look at their communications and marketing processes, they found themselves on journeys of self-discovery. As part of its "Congregational Stories" series, the Center for Congregations, an organization that strengthens churches by providing them with resources to address their challenges and opportunities, highlights the work of the congregation in a free PDF article available on the Center's website. The article explains how the congregations worked through the process of identifying their uniqueness, or brand, and shows the benefits of developing a church identity. By hearing member stories, the community achieves greater clarity of common purpose, integrates and streamlines communication tools, and simplifies outreach messages so that church marketing and branding become a natural part of community life.
