Roland Martinson on What Really Works in Youth Ministry

Contrary to past assumptions about youth ministry that assumed a charismatic "pied piper" was needed to galvanize a youth ministry, Roland Martinson notes that a network of adult leaders who can provide concurrent age level youth ministry and intergenerational youth ministry is needed; theology - not just technique - is critical; and the first steps to effective youth ministry is to help a congregation's pastor "understand how God is at work in the first third of life and how ministry in the first third of life is deeply theological."  Read this interesting interview with Roland Martinson on effective methods for youth ministry.
