In the process, she reveals some of the least understood aspects of Hispanic religiosity in the United States, the unique importance of young Hispanics to the church, the different categories of young Hispanics in American culture and the distinctive differences between the pastoral approaches to mainstream youth and Pastoral Juvenil for Latino youth.
